Comme De Garçon / Rei Kawakubo

After the 2017 Met Gala - everyone is Kawakubo crazy!  Myself included.

I went through some past collections to pick pics of what I love about CDG.

She is what punk is all about. She consistently has created collections that were / are   unconventional and never seen before.

Going way back to Fall 2000, and the perforated leather jackets, pajama button up shirts, belts and full pleated tulle skirts. Still looks fresh 17 years later!

You can check out all of Rei Kawakubo's collections for Comme de Garçon HERE!

Racked NY Feature

In the northern tip of Brooklyn serviced only by the G train lies Greenpoint,
a neighborhood that offers cash-only pierogis and borscht, more than one
verdant park, and an impressive number of boutiques.
While much of the neighborhood's 19th-century industrial past has been
buried by brunch spots and bars, it's hard to spend time in the area without
picking up the city's best donut from an old Polish bakery or finding that
perfect nineties-era Calvin Klein dress in a converted warehouse.
Below, ten of the best Greenpoint stores for clothes and accessories
that you can't miss during your next visit.

For a unique made-in-Greenpoint collection, head to Line & Label,
where owner Kate O'Riley showcases her own apparel and handmade
leather handbags alongside jewelry, clothing and accessories from
other Brooklyn makers. Definitely go for the leather goods here: the bags
and clutches stick pretty close to the $100-range.
