Ship Dazzle + Michael Miller

Dazzle II, 48"x48"
I was recently introduced by a dear friend to the work of Michael Miller, a Scottish artist living and working in New York City.
Dazzle I, 60"x48"
I am really loving the "Dazzle, Reveal / Conceal" series, and looking at these along side the dazzle painted ships that were his inspiration.

I had never heard of "Dazzle Camouflage" until seeing and reading about his work.  The "Camouflage" not making the ships invisible, but instead changing the perception and depth so it wouldn't be such an easy enemy target.

Dazzle Camouflage used in WWI, and to a lesser extent in WWII
